The number of trips to Catalonia by residents of the rest of Spain increased 40.4% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2023, which meant a total of 1.1 million trips, 4.1 million overnight stays, an average stay of 3.6 nights, and an expenditure of 400 million euros.

The expenditure on trips to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain in the first quarter of 2023 was 352 euros per person, a figure that represents a decrease of 6.7% above the first quarter of 2022, the equivalent to a daily expenditure of 97 euros.
