Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 06/2023

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose principal destination was Catalonia stood at 2,180 million euro in June 2023, compared to 1,857 million in June 2022. This figure represents an increase of 17.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States and the United Kingdom stood out with a total expenditure of 477 and 278 million euros, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 239 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 15.7%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport not included in the tour package, with an amount of 636 million euros, and the expenditure on activities, with an amount of 407 million euros.
