Statistics on Campsite Activity. 2022. Definitive data

The number of overnight stays in campsites increased by 35.2% in Catalonia in 2022, according to definitive data from the Campsite Occupancy Survey, that update the provisional data. Regarding the origin of the travellers, overnight stays of domestic tourists increased by 3.2%: Catalan tourists rose by 2.7% and those from the rest of Spain by 6.1%. Overnight stays of foreign tourists also increased by 102.5% year-over-year. By tourism brands, Costa Brava and Costa Daurada recorded the highest number of overnight stays (7.8 and 5.9 million, respectively) with positive sign yearly variations of 44.1% and 34.1%, respectively. On the other hand, the number of travellers registered in campsites increased by 26.0% on a yearly basis.
