Consumer Price Index. 09/2023

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.4% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in September 2023. The groups with the highest inflation were food and non-alcoholic beverages (9.6%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.4%) and hotels, cafés and restaurants (5.7%). The only group with a negative variation rate was housing (−11.8%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) is 5.8% in Catalonia.
