Change in the official denomination of the Castell-Platja d’Aro, which will now be called Castell d’Aro, Platja d’Aro i s’Agaró

On 10 November, the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) announced Resolution PRE/3758/2023 of 7 November, which ratifies the name change of the municipality of Castell-Platja d’Aro,, which will now be called Castell d’Aro, Platja d’Aro i s’Agaró.

Idescat, being the competent authority to this effect, has incorporated this change into the official Catalan geonomenclature regarding the statistics forming part of its database for Territorial and entity codes on the same date as the publication of the DOGC. From now on, this will be taken into account in future publications of official statistical results carried out by the Statistical System of Catalonia, always considering, for each case, the reference date of the data.
