Consumer Price Index. 01/2024

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.3% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in January 2024. All groups presented positive rates of change.The groups with the highest inflation have been food and non-alcoholic beverages (7.0%), hotels, cafés and restaurants (5.1%) and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (4.4%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) is 3.7% in Catalonia.
