Consumer Price Index. 04/2024

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.3% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in April 2024. All groups presented positive rates of change, except communications (−0.2).The groups with the highest inflation have been hotels, cafés and restaurants (4.2%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (also 4.2%) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.1%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) is 3.0% in Catalonia.
