Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 11/2024

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 1,382 million euros in November 2024, which represents an increase of 8.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, France, the United States and Italy and stood out with a total expenditure of 158, 140 and 78 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 27.6%, −26.3% and −18.2%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 198 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 2.4%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (438 million euros) and to expenditure on activities (281 million euros).
