Statistics on Campsite Activity. Q4/2024 and year 2024. Provisional data

The number of overnight stays spent at campsites in Catalonia decreased by 0.9% in the fourth quarter of 2024 on the year-over-year data, according to the provisional data from the Campsite Occupancy Survey.

As to the country of origin, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists decreased by 13.7%: tourism from Catalonia fell by 11.9% and the tourism from the rest of Spain by 35.7%; with regards to the foreign tourism increased by 17.0%.

Furthermore, the year-over-year figures for the number of travellers registered at campsites decreased by 2.9%.

In 2024, the number of overnight stays in campsites grew 7.1% in Catalonia, according to provisional data from the Campsite Occupancy Survey.

Regarding the origin of the travellers, overnight stays of domestic tourism grew by 6.8%: those of Catalan travelers increased by 7.7% and those of travelers from the rest of Spain increased by 1.9%. Overnight stays of foreign tourism increased by 7.4% compared to a year ago. On the other hand, there was an increase of 1.3% in the number of travellers in comparison to 2023.
