Business Confidence Indicators. Q2/2025

The Harmonized Business Confidence Index (HBCI) of Catalonia increased by 0.1% in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter.

Construction is the only activity sector that worsened business confidence (−0,8%). On the other hand, it remained stable in trade (0.0%) and it improved in accommodation and food service activities and transport (0.6%), in other services (0.2%) and in industry (0.1%).

In relation to the same quarter of the previous year the index decreased by 0.5%. There was a different behaviour by sectors, with growths in construction (1.6%) and in trade (0.2%) and decreases of business confidence in accommodation and food service activities and transport (−3.4%), in industry (−0.7%) and in other services (−0.4%).
