Statistics on Rural Tourism Accommodation Activity. Q1/2025

The number of overnight stays in rural tourism establishments in Catalonia decreased by a year-over-year 19.8% in the first quarter of 2025, according to provisional data from the Rural Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey.

By country of origin, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists fell by 18.8% (Catalan tourism decreased by 17.3% and that proceeding from the rest of Spain by 38.5%) and foreign tourism decreased by 29.8%.

On the other hand, the number of travellers registered in rural tourism establishments fell by a year-over-year 9.5%.

Note that in 2025 Easter was celebrated in April while in 2024 it took place in March.
