Statistics on Campsite Activity. Q1/2025

The number of overnight stays spent at campsites in Catalonia decreased by 40.9% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2025, according to the provisional data from the Campsite Occupancy Survey.

As to the origins of such tourism, domestic campers decreased by 48.7%: tourism from Catalonia decreased by 47.2% and tourism from the rest of Spain decreased by 72.2%. Regarding foreign tourism, decreased by 20.6%. Furthermore, the year-over-year figures for the number of travellers registered at campsites decreased by 43.0%.

Note that in 2025 Easter was celebrated in April while in 2024 it took place in March.
