Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 04/2025

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 1,997 million euros in April 2025, which represents a increase of 10.0% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, France and Germany and stood out with a total expenditure of 403, 240 and 133 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 20.8%, 6.5% and 7.6%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 215 euros, which represented a year-over-year decrease of 1.7%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (574 million euros) and expenditure on accommodation (399 million euros).
