Consumer Price Index. 05/2025

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.8% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in May 2025. All groups showed positive rates of change, except transport (−2.3%). The groups with the highest inflation were hotels, cafés and restaurants (4.3%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.8%) and education (2.8%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) was 2.1% in Catalonia.
