Exports registered a year-over-year decrease of 4.6% in Catalonia in April 2025 and imports a decrease of 7.9%.

Regarding exports by economic destination, exports of intermediate goods decreased by 8.8%; on the other hand, exports of capital goods increased by 2.8% and those of consumer goods by 0.2%. By geographical area, sales decreased in America by 8.1%, in the European Union by 6.4%, in the rest of the world by 3.2% and to other European countries and territories (non-EU countries) by 1.9%; on the other hand, sales in Asia increased by 7.8%.

Regarding imports by economic destination, imports of intermediate good decreased by 13.8% and those of consumer goods by 0.4; on the other hand, imports of capital goods increased by 13.5%. By geographical area, purchases in America decreased by 33.3%, in other countries and territories of Europe (non-EU countries) by 26.8%, in the rest of the world by 14.9%, in Asia by 4.7% and in the European Union by 0.6%.
