Tourism of Residents in Catalonia. Q1/2025

The number of trips made by Catalans decreased 13.3% year–over–year in the first quarter 2025. People residing in Catalonia made 5.9 million trips, involving 23.6 million overnight stays, an average stay of 4.0 nights, and an expenditure of 2,264 million euros.

The expenditure of Catalans on trips in the first quarter came to 381 euros per person, which represents an increase of 13.5% in comparison with the first quarter of 2024, and an expenditure of 96 euros per day, with represents an increase of 2.9%.

The number of day trips made by people residing in Catalonia stood at 8.2 million in the first quarter of 2025, 16.5% less than in the same quarter of the previous year.

The Easter effect must be considered, given that this year it was celebrated in April and in 2024 it was celebrated in March.
