Statistics on Foreign Tourism. 05/2025

The number of foreign tourists who arrived in Catalonia in May 2025 stood at 1.9 million, a figure that represents a year-over-year decrease of 5.6%. By country of habitual residence, the countries from which the majority of tourists came were France, United Kingdom and the United States, with 342.9, 236.2 and 204.8 thousand tourists, respectively.

On the other hand, by reason for traveling, leisure trips, business trips and trips for other reasons (health, studies, family...) have a tourist influx of 1.7 million, 150.7 and 116.7 thousand tourists, respectively.

As for the principal type of accommodation, hotels and similar have an influx of 1.5 million tourists, and rented homes accommodated 147.2 thousand tourists.
