Industrial Production Index. 06/2025

The Industrial Production Index adjusted by working days (base=100) decreased by 0.3% year-over-year in Catalonia in June 2025. By large industrial sectors, there was a decrease in energy by 3.4% and in intermediate goods by 2.7%, while consumer goods increased by 2.6% and capital goods by 1.5%.

In June 2025, the Industrial Products Index (which does not include energy and is not adjusted by working days) increased by 3.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and the Industrial Production Index (which includes energy) by 2.7% year-over-year. By large industrial sectors, there was an increase in consumer goods (6.1%) and capital goods (4.7%), while in energy decreased (−2.9%) and intermediate goods remained stable (0,0%).

Finally, by industrial divisions the highest increases where recorded in the in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (21.4%) and in the manufacture of machinery and mechanical equipment (13.5%); on the other hand, the most significant decreases were in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (−11.5%) and the manufacture of basic metals and metal products (−5.5%).
