The value of exports to Catalonia was 9,039.5 M€ in June 2025, a figure that represents a year-over-year increase of 7.2%. Imports, with a value of 9,765.7 M€, increased by 6.3%.

As for exports by economic destination, all goods grew: capital goods by 15.6%, intermediate goods by 11.5% and consumer goods by 0.7%. By geographical area, sales to other countries and territories in Europe (non-EU members) grew by 22.0%, to the rest of the world by 16.1%, in America by 7.1%, to the European Union by 4.0% and in Asia by 2.6%.

By branches of economic activity, the most notable increases in sales were in electrical and electronic equipment (23.7%; 122.6 M€), basic metals and metals products (24.5%; 106.6 M€) and crop and animal production, hunting, fishing and aquaculture (22.9%; 44.5 M€). On the other hand, the branches with the most significant decreases was in mining, extraction and refined petroleum products (−38.4%; −138.1 M€).

As for imports by economic destination, capital goods increased by 36.2% and consumer goods by 15.7%; however, imports of intermediate goods decreased by 2.4%. By geographical area, purchases in Asia increased by 17.5%, in the rest of the world by 14.2%, and in the European Union by 8.1%. On the other hand, purchases from countries and territories in Europe (non-EU members) decreased by 35.5% and from America by 2.0%.

By branches of economic activity, there was notable growth in purchases of office, precise and optical equipment (62.9%; 145.2 M€). On the other hand, there was a notable decrease in purchases of mining, extraction and refined petroleum products (−14.4%; −94.4 M€) and crop and animal production, hunting, fishing and aquaculture (−8.6%; −44.2 M€).
