Change of assignment of the country and supracounty of the municipality of Aiguafreda

On 31 July 2025, the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC) published Law 7/2025, of 30 July, on the change of assignment of the country and supracounty of the municipality of Aiguafreda, according to which it is segregated from El Vallès Oriental (Barcelona) and added to Osona (Catalunya Central).

Idescat, as the competent statistical body in this area, includes this change in the official Catalan geo-nomenclature, in the Territorial and entity codes database, in the sections referring to municipalities and counties. The change has been made on 1 August 2025, as these are the date the law came into effect.

From now on, the changes will affect future publications of official statistical results by the Statistical System of Catalonia, always considering the reference date.
