Industrial Production Index. 07/2025

The Industrial Production Index adjusted by working days (base=100) decreased by 0.3% year-over-year in Catalonia in July 2025. By large industrial sectors, capital goods decrease by 4.6 %, and on the other hand, intermediate goods increase by 2.1%, energy by 1.1% and consumer goods by 0.1%.

In July 2025, the Industrial Products Index (which does not include energy and is not adjusted by working days) decreases by 0.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and the Industrial Production Index (which includes energy) by 0.2% year-over-year. By large industrial sectors, capital goods decreases (−4.5%), while intermediate goods (2.1%), energy (1.2%) and consumer goods (0.1%) increase.

Finally, by industrial divisions the highest decreases where recorded in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (−13.2%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (−11.7%); on the other hand, the most notable increases were recorded in the manufacture of machinery and mechanical equipment (7.8%) and in the manufacture of electrical, electronic and optical materials and equipment (6.0%).
