Governing Council of the Statistical System of Catalonia plenary meeting

On 28 October 2025, the Governing Council of the Statistical System of Catalonia plenary meeting was held, chaired by Alícia Romero, Minister of Economy and Finance.

At the Council meeting, Idescat reported on the goals for the new phase which began with the appointment of Àlex Costa as the new director (3 June 2025), goals that emphasise statistical innovation. It also reported on the work done since the last plenary meeting.

This Governing Council additionally took note of compliance with the Annual Statistical Action Programme 2024 and the proposal for the Catalan Classification of Products by Activity 2026 (CCPA-2026, revision of CCPA-2014). The draft Annual Statistical Action Programme 2026, which was approved at the same meeting, is pending approval by the Government.
