Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 09/2025

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 2,568 million euros in September 2025, which represents a increase of 3.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, United Kingdom and France stood out with a total expenditure of 340, 268 and 259 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 9.7%, 5.6% and −6.9%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 238 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 9.9%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (720 million euros) and expenditure on accommodation (535 million euros).
