Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 12/2025 and year 2025. Provisional data

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose principal destination was Catalonia stood at 1,351 million euro in December 2025, which represents a year-over-year increase of 3.4%.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, France and Germany stood out with a total expenditure of 139, 120 and 69 million euros, which means a year-over-year increase of 7.8%, − 27.3% and 27.3%, respectively. The average daily expenditure per person was 184 euros, a figure that represented an increase of 17.4%. The main statistical items correspond to expenditure on international transport not included in the tour package, with an amount of 397 million euros, and expenditure on activities with an amount of 322 million euros.

In 2025 as a whole, the total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose principal destination was Catalonia increased by 4.5% and stood at 24,807 million euros. On the other hand, the average daily expenditure per person was of 211 euros, representing a 4.5% increase compared to 2024, according to provisional data.
