Statistics on Foreign Tourism. 02/2026

The number of foreign tourists who arrived in Catalonia in February 2026 stood at 1.2 million, a figure that represents a year-over-year increase of 4.1%.

By country of habitual residence, the countries from which the majority of tourists came from were France, Italy and United Kingdom, with 243.7, 97.6 and 86.4 thousand tourists, respectively. This figures represent a year-over-year variation of −11.5%, 7.2% and 17.8%, respectively.

On the other hand, by reason for traveling, leisure trips, trips for other reasons (health, studies, family...) and business trips had a tourist influx of 874.1, 184.8 and 128.4 thousand tourists, respectively.

As for the principal type of accommodation, hotels and similar had an influx of 668.9 thousand tourists.
