Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 02/2026

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 1,372 million euros in February 2026, which represents a increase of 18.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, France, the United States and Germany tood out with a total expenditure of 149, 148 and 73 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of −23.3%, 16.8% and 27.3%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 186 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 2.9%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (471 million euros) and expenditure on activities (265 million euros).
