Business Confidence Indicators. Q2/2026

The Harmonised Business Confidence Index of Catalonia increased by 1.7% in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the previous quarter.

By activity sector, construction (−4.1%), trade (−3.7%), and industry (−2.8%) were the sectors where business confidence decreased the most. In accommodation and food service activities and transport the decrease was less intense (−0.8%), and in other services business confidence remained stable (0.0%) compared to the previous quarter.

In relation to the same quarter of the previous year, the Index decreased by 1.6%. By sector, accommodation and food service activities and transport (−4.5%) and industry (−3.7%) showed a higher drop in confidence, followed by construction and trade (−1.6% and −1.5%, respectively). In contrast, other services improved business confidence by 0.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
