Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 03/2026

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 1,637 million euros in March 2026, which represents a increase of 13.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, France and Germany tood out with a total expenditure of 346, 168 and 110 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 67.9%, −10.1% and 48.4%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 223 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 1.2%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (557 million euros) and expenditure on accommodation (322 million euros).
