Statistics on unemployment benefits. 2025

The average number of unemployment benefits in Catalonia in 2025 was 233,575, 2.3% more than the previous year, and the annual economic volume stood at 3,765 million euros, an increase of 6.3%.

Of these benefits, 140,351 were contribution-based, and the annual economic volume stood at 2,912 million euros. The average contributory benefit in 2025 was 1,765 euros, an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Regarding welfare (or non-contributory) unemployment benefits, the figure was 93,224, which translated into an annual amount of 852.9 million euros and an average allowance of 820 euros per month.
