The unemployed population would be 431.6 thousand people in April this year, according to the Monthly Estimate of the Economically Active Population, a figure representing a decrease of 4.3% in relation to March and an increase of 20.1% in relation to April 2025. This value would place the unemployment rate for April at 9.9%.

The employed population is estimated to reach 3,922.1 thousand people in April, a value representing a monthly increase of 1.0% and a year-over-year increase of 0.2%. The estimate for the employment rate in April would be 56.1%.

As for the economically active population, it is estimated to stand at 4,353.7 thousand people in April, a figure representing a monthly increase of 0.4% and a year-over-year increase of 1.9%. This value would place the activity rate at 62.2% in April.
