New housing market indicators

Idescat is expanding the number of featured indicators with short-term and structural information on the housing market.

On a short-term basis, and in relation to sales, Idescat publishes as highlighted indicators notarised dwellings (number and average price), sales registered in the Property Registry and the INE House Price Index. It also disseminates data on the number of mortgages established and mortgage foreclosures. Regarding the rental market, Idescat presents the number and price of rental contracts according to Incasòl and rental price variations according to the CPI.

On the other hand, highlighted indicators of a structural nature are also presented, such as the average annual household expenditure according to the INE Household Budget Survey and census data, such as the number of family dwellings, the percentage of primary dwellings under rental tenure and the number of buildings intended for family dwellings.

These indicators are available in the Housing market section of the Basic Indicators of Catalonia and in the Statistical Yearbook of Catalonia.

For more information, see the Housing and dwellings section of the website.
