Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 04/2026

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 2,216 million euros in April 2026, which represents an increase of 10.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, France and the United Kingdom stood out with a total expenditure of 437, 271 and 116 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 8.6%, 11.7% and 26.7%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 203 euros, which represented a year-over-year decrease of 5.4%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (578 million euros) and expenditure on accommodation (463 million euros).
