Indicators of Service Sector Activity. Indexes of Production and Turnover. Q1/2026

The Production Index in the Service Sector (IPROSS) increased by 1.3% on year-over-year basis in Catalonia in the first quarter of 2026. Furthermore, the Turnover Index (IASSVN) also shows an increase of 4.3% compared to a year ago, since trade increased by 3.4% and the other services (this is to say, non-commercial ones) by 5.7%. Within the other services, all sectors increased, and the most significant increases are in accommodation and food service activities by 11.8%, in information and communications by 7.8% and in administrative and support service activities by 5.3%.
