SORT journal: impact factor 2025

The impact factor (JIF) corresponding to the year 2025 of the journal SORT is published, standing at 1.6, according to the rating assigned by Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science – Journal Citation Reports).

The impact factor shows a progressive increase compared to the previous two years and is close to the maximum figure reached by the journal in 2021 (1.76). Consequently, the journal SORT remains in the highest international standards for prestigious scientific publications. In turn, the journal remains in the second quartile in the Statistics and Probability field and has improved in the Operations Research and Management Sciences field, going from the fourth quartile to the third quartile.

The impact factor for the year 2025 is obtained by dividing the number of times that articles published in 2023 and 2024 have been cited during 2025 by all articles published during 2023 and 2024. Therefore, it is an index that measures the degree of notoriety or impact of the articles that are published in a journal in relation to research on an international scale.

The journal has also renewed the certificate of excellence awarded in 2011 by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology , which guarantees the editorial and scientific quality of the journal SORT until December 2027.
