The number of trips to Catalonia by residents of the rest of Spain decreased 13.2% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026, which meant a total of 963.7 thousend trips, 3.7 million overnight stays, an average stay of 3.8 nights, and an expenditure of 444 million euros.

The expenditure on trips to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain in the first quarter of 2026 was 461 euros per person, a figure that represents an increase of 9.9% above the first quarter of 2025, the equivalent to a daily expenditure of 120 euros, which increased 8.9%.

The Easter effect must be considered, given that this year it was celebrated in March and April and in 2025 it was celebrated in April.
