Business Confidence Indicators. Q3/2026

The Harmonised Business Confidence Index of Catalonia increased by 2.2% in the third quarter of 2026 compared to the previous quarter.

By activity sector, accommodation and food service activities and transport is the sector where business confidence increased the most (4.6%), followed by trade (3.5%) and construction and industry (3.1% in both cases), while in the other services the increase was more moderate compared with the previous quarter (0.3%).

In relation to the same quarter of the previous year, the Index fell by 0.7%. By sector, all showed a certain worsening in terms of business confidence, except for construction, which improved (0.7%). The sector including the other services is where confidence fell the most (−1.3%), followed by industry (−0.8%), accommodation and food service activities and transport (−0.2%) and trade, which remained practically stable (−0.1%).
