Indicators of Service Sector Activity. Turnover Index. 05/2026

The calendar and seasonally adjusted Service Sector Turnover Index increased by 5.6% year over year in Catalonia in May 2026. In monthly terms, compared to April 2026, the Index decreased by 0.6%.

By activity sectors, trade grew by 4.9% and other services (i.e. non-trade ones) by 7.2%. Within these other services, all sectors increased in year-over-year terms, with notable increases in administrative and support service activities (8.9%), accommodation and food service activities (7.8%), and transport and storage (7.7%).
