Statistics on Campsite Activity. Q2/2026

The number of overnight stays spent at campsites in Catalonia decreased by 2.7% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026, according to the provisional data from the Campsite Occupancy Survey.

As to the origins of such tourism, domestic campers fell by 8.9%: tourism from Catalonia decreased by 5.5% and tourism from the rest of Spain by 28.2%. Regarding foreign tourism, it grew by 5,8%. Furthermore, the year-over-year figures for the number of travellers registered at campsites increased by 0.9%.

Note that in 2026 Easter was celebrated between the months of March and April in 2025 it took place in April.
