Industrial Production Index. 06/2026

The calendar and seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 1.0% year over year in Catalonia in June 2026. In monthly terms, compared to May 2026, the Index fell by 3.4%.

By economic destination of goods, the sectors showing year-over-year decreases were capital goods by 4.6% and consumer goods by 4.5%, while energy and intermediate goods increased by 13.2% and 0.1%, respectively. Regarding the Industrial Products Index, which does not include energy, it fell by 2.8% compared with the same month of the previous year.

By sections and branches of activity, the highest year-over-year decreases were recorded in industries of paper products, printing and reproduction of recorded media (−6.7%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (−6.5%); in contrast, the most notable increases occurred in other manufacturing industries (4.0%) and in the manufacture of electrical machinery and optical equipment (1.2%).
