Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 07/2026

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 3,707 million euros in July 2026, which represents an increase of 13.0% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, France, Netherlands and the United States stood out with a total expenditure of 452, 398 and 382 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 16.5%, 36.9% and 16.4%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 241 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 5.5%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on accommodation (923 million euros) and expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (843 million euros).
