The value of exports in Catalonia was 9,299.3 million euros in June 2026, a figure representing a year-over-year increase of 2.9%. Imports, with a value of 10,849.3 million euros, increased by 11.1%.

With regard to exports by economic destination, those of all goods increased: intermediate goods by 3.2%, consumer goods by 2.7% and capital goods by 1.4%. By geographical area, sales in other European countries and territories in Europe not belonging to the EU decreased by 14.4%, sales in America decreased by 9.9% and sales to Asia by 1.2%; on the other hand, sales increased in the European Union by 8.1% and in the rest of the world by 21.2%.

By branch of economic activity, the growth in sales of textiles, manufacture of wearing apparel, leather and footwear (24.9%; 123.9 M€) and mining, extraction and refined petroleum products (20.5%; 45.3 M€) stood out. On the other hand, the decrease in sales of chemical industries (−8.2%; −221.9 M€) and food products and beverages (−6.4%; −78.6 M€) stood out.

With regard to imports by economic destination those of intermediate goods increased by 16.7% and consumer goods by 7.7%; on the other hand, those of capital goods decreased by 7.9%. By geographical area, purchases from other countries and territories in Europe not belonging to the EU grew by 48.0%, from America by 43.1%, from Asia by 9.9%, from the European Union by 4.9% and from the rest of the world by 3.1%.

By branch of economic activity, the increase in purchases of mining, extraction and refined petroleum products (57.7%; 323.7 M€) and of motor vehicles and other transport equipment (19.4%; 332.1 M€) stood out. On the other hand, the decrease in purchases of office, precise and optical equipment (−21.7%; −81.5 M€) stood out.
