Industrial Production Index. 07/2026

The calendar and seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index increased by 0.4% year-over-year in Catalonia in July 2026. In monthly terms, compared to June 2026, the Index increased by 0.9%.

By economic destination of goods, the sectors that increased in year-over-year terms were energy by 5.2% and consumer goods by 1.3%, while intermediate goods and capital goods decreased by 1.4% and 0.6%, respectively. With regard to the industrial products index, which excludes energy, it decreased by 0.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.

By section and branch of activity, the highest year-over-year increases were recorded in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (4.1%) and in the electrical, electronic and optical materials and equipment industries (2.9%); in contrast, the most significant decreases occurred in the paper, graphic arts and reproduction of recorded media industries (−8.4%) and in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (−5.3%).
