Consumer Price Index. 08/2026

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) (base 2025=100) increased by 4.0% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in August 2026. All groups showed positive rates of change, except clothing and footwear (−1.7%). The most inflationary groups were transport (7.9%), housing (5.6%) and restaurants and accommodation services (5.0%).

In this period, core inflation (general index excluding unprocessed food and energy products) was 2.8% and non-core inflation (unprocessed food and energy products) was 10.4%.
