The number of trips to Catalonia by residents in the rest of Spain increased by 15.4% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, which means a total of 1.8 million trips, 7.6 million overnight stays, an average length of stay of 4.2 nights, and an expenditure of 868 million euros.

The expenditure on trips to Catalonia by residents in the rest of Spain in the second quarter of 2026 amounted to 480 euros per person, an increase of 18.7% compared with the second quarter of 2025. This represents a daily expenditure of 114 euros, an increase of 12.6%.

The Easter effect must be considered, given that this year it was celebrated in March and April and in 2025 it was celebrated in April.
