Idescat wins best presentation award at the International Marketing and Output Data Base Conference in Paris for the fourth time

Xavier Badosa, Head of the Digital Services and Content Area at the Statistical Institute of Catalonia (Idescat), has won the award for best presentation at the International Marketing and Output Data Base Conference, held in Paris from 20 to 24 September 2026.

Badosa received the award for the presentation “Scalable AI for Statistical Dissemination”, which focuses on applying artificial intelligence to the dissemination of statistical information.

This award consolidates Badosa’s track record at this international conference, where he had previously been recognised three times with the best presentation award.

The earlier awards were for the following presentations:

  • 2017: The Trouble with Tables
  • 2014: Data Dissemination through Data Visualization
  • 2011: What’s Our Business? Statistics as Platform
