Catalonia Statistics Day 2026

On 20 October, Catalonia Statistics Day 2026 will be held. This event, convened by the Catalan Statistics Society and jointly organised with the Statistical Institute of Catalonia, will be held at the Cotxeres Hall of the Palau Robert in Barcelona.

Held since 2001, the Catalonia Statistics Day is a meeting point for the country’s statistical community, aimed at discussing topics of common interest from the academic, institutional and professional perspectives. This event also includes the awards ceremony for the XXIV Student Competition in Applied Statistics, organised by the Applied Statistics Service of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Statistical Institute of Catalonia.

The Catalonia Statistics Day coincides with the European Statistics Day, which the European statistical community celebrates every year on 20 October. This commemoration was initiated by the European Statistical Advisory Committee in 2016 and has been held every year since then with the support of the European Statistical System and the European System of Central Banks.
