Indicators of Service Sector Activity. Turnover Index. 08/2026

The calendar and seasonally adjusted Service Sector Turnover Index increased by 4.7% year over year in Catalonia in August 2026. In monthly terms, compared to July 2026, the Index decreased by 0.2%.

By activity sectors, trade grew by 4.0% and other services (that is, services excluding trade) did so by 4.5%. Within these other services, all sectors increased in year-over-year terms, with notable increases in the sector of information and communications (7.3%) and the transport and storage sector (6.7%).
