Business Confidence Indicators. Q4/2026

The Harmonised Business Confidence Index of Catalonia decreased by 1.8% in the fourth quarter of 2026 compared with the previous quarter.

By activity sector, all sectors showed a certain worsening in business confidence compared with the previous quarter, led by accommodation, food service activities and transport (−4.1%) and followed by trade (−2.4%), industry (−1.4%), other services (−1.3%) and construction (−1.2%).

Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the Index decreased by 0.6%. All sectors showed a certain worsening in business confidence except for the sector comprising other services, which remained virtually stable (0.1%). Accommodation, food service activities and transport was the sector that decreased the most (−1.6%), followed by industry (−1.2%) and trade and construction (−0.9% in both cases).
