Statistics on Rural Tourism Accommodation Activity. Q3/2026

The number of overnight stays in rural tourism establishments in Catalonia increased by a year-over-year 5.5% in the third quarter of 2026, according to provisional data from the Rural Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey.

By country of origin, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists grew by 16.1% (Catalan tourism increased by 15.8% and that proceeding from the rest of Spain by 18.7%) and foreign tourism decreased by 14.2%.

On the other hand, the number of travellers registered in rural tourism establishments increased by a year-over-year 15.7%.
