Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 09/2026

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 2,773 million euros in September 2026, which represents an increase of 7.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, the United Kingdom and France stood out with a total expenditure of 377, 297 and 293 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 10.3%, 9.9% and 12.6%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 259 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 9.0%. The main expenditure items corresponded to international transport not included in the tourist package (753 million euros) and accommodation expenditure (563 million euros).
